BackgroundMetro Industrial Contracting, Inc. has evolved into a multi-faceted specialty contractor whose metamorphosis originated from a grass roots organization back in 1976 called Metro Boiler, Inc. Their primary focus was the Power Generation industry and they only employed Boilermakers. In 1988 our predecessor company, Metro Industrial Contractors, Inc. secured the assets of Metro Boiler, Inc. and expanded their customer base to include Petro Chemical and Steel Mill projects along with signing agreements with Ironworkers and Operating Engineers. In 1993 several employees bought the assets of Metro Industrial Contractors, Inc. and formed Metro Industrial Contracting, Inc. Today we have expanded our operations from 2 Million dollars in sales in 1976 to a 94 Million dollar operation in 2008 employing Millwrights, Ironworkers, Boilermakers, Operating Engineers, Teamsters and Laborers.
